"I think Terry Nichols must be executed just like Tim McVeigh," said Jannie Coverdale, who lost two grandchildren in the bombing. McVeigh was executed last month to the murders of eight federal agents who were among the 168 bombing victims."How could he be less guilty than McVeigh?" said Kathleen Treanor, whose in-laws and daughter died in the blast.Nichols, a former Army buddy of McVeigh, was found guilty in 1997 of conspiracy with a federal court and sentenced your in prison. "It is our hope and expectation how the sexual abuse risk audit and the countermeasures that will be implemented because of this audit will end up a necessary model for abuse prevention," said the plaintiff's attorney Windle Turley. At at separate news conference at Turley's office, his clients said they accepted the bishop's apology and that it should bring closure on the episode. "This is a day of relief for all. Finding out that the bishop has apologized for that wrongdoing helps us get on with our lives. Today is just a great day," said Nathan Nichols, 19, of Ennis the other of the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs said they intend to develop a Web site to serve as a clearinghouse for info on institutional sexual abuse.
